- Eric's brother D.G.V. [!] contacted Eric after I had written to D.V.G. and sent me a long letter which I received on the 29 March 1985. Although quite an interesting letter it did not help regarding family names except that he said his Grandmother's name was Sarah - "that certainly was the name of her daughter - she had as far as I know three sons Albert, Ernest & George". I replied to his letter on the 22 May 1985 after I had done some further researching. I wrote to him again on the 27 April 1996 after he had telephoned me on the Easter Monday Bank Holiday when he informed me that he had recently lost his wife - I enclosed the EAMER Family Tree as far as researching had gone - I did not receive an acknowledgement. I wrote to him again on the 20 January 1997 and received a reply on the 29 January 1997. Although a very interesting letter no family names were mentioned [Grandson but no name] but he did say that Phyllis EAMER had lost her sister. He was involved with many projects and had not visited Shire Hall, Reading which he had proposed to do. At the time he was 79 years of age. I never heard from him again and neither did I write again. His address at the time was 24 Dene Road, Cove, Farnborough, Hants GU14 6BZ. [Letters in F.H.Correspondents Ring Binder File]. [Entered 6.2.2006]. [1]
